Pricing compared
Both companies charge a monthly fee plus a one-time first work fee. The Credit Pros says its first work fee covers an Initial Credit Action Plan: a line-by-line report review, a written plan per account, corrections to personal details, and adding your number to the Do Not Call list. It says there are no other fees.
The biggest pricing difference is where disputes start. The Credit Pros' cheapest plan ($69) is a credit-building and money management plan with no disputes. Its cheapest dispute plan is Prosperity at $129 a month. Credit Saint's cheapest plan, Credit Polish at $79.99, includes 5 disputes per cycle.

Guarantees compared
The Credit Pros publishes a satisfaction guarantee: "If, after 60 days, you are not satisfied with our service, we will extend your service up to the number of paid months at no additional cost." So if you paid three months and are unhappy, you could get up to three more months free. It does not pay money back. It also promises you can cancel anytime and that no one will over-promise a specific outcome.
Credit Saint publishes a 90-day money-back guarantee: if you don't see any questionable items deleted from your credit in 90 days, you're entitled to a full refund. The conditions:
- Stay active and current on payments for the first 90 days.
- Send proof of identity within 5 days of signing.
- Don't add new negative accounts during the program.
- Request a refund audit between day 91 and day 120 after your first payment. Credit Saint then has 30 days to review your reports.
The trade-off is clear. The Credit Pros' guarantee triggers on dissatisfaction, which is broader, but you get more service rather than cash. Credit Saint's triggers only if nothing questionable is deleted, which is narrower, but it pays a refund. Neither is a promise of a result.
How the process differs
Both companies dispute items that may be inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, and the bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate each dispute (15 U.S.C. 1681i). Neither can remove accurate, timely information.
The Credit Pros starts with a free credit review using a soft pull, then recommends a plan. A named Credit Specialist handles your case on the dispute plans, contacts creditors, sends letters asking collectors to stop calling, and can give you a letter confirming you are working on your credit for landlords or employers. Two plans report your membership payments to the bureaus to build on-time history. All plans include bill reminders, budgeting tools, dark web monitoring and TransUnion fraud alerts.
Credit Saint focuses on disputes. You choose the dispute volume by tier. Every plan includes challenges to all three bureaus, creditor intervention letters, score analysis and a score tracker. Credit Remodel adds inquiry targeting, a personalized credit guide, a one-bureau report and score, and real-time account sync. Clean Slate adds unlimited challenges, three-bureau reports and scores, and a loan readiness program. Credit Saint's sign-up form also lets you add one family member in your household without a second first work fee (they pay their own monthly fee).

What the first 90 days look like
The calendar matters because each company's promise kicks in at a different point.
With The Credit Pros
- Day 0: you complete the free review (a soft pull that doesn't affect your score) and pick a plan at checkout.
- First weeks: your Initial Credit Action Plan is built, covered by the first work fee. It includes a line-by-line review and a written plan for each account.
- First dispute round: items you believe are wrong go to all three bureaus. Each bureau generally has 30 days to investigate, or up to 45 if you send more information during the investigation (15 U.S.C. 1681i).
- Day 60: the satisfaction guarantee becomes available. If you're not satisfied, you can ask for up to as many free months as you have paid for.
- Ongoing: monthly fee, more dispute rounds, and on two plans, payment reporting that builds history over time.
With Credit Saint
- Day 0: you sign up online and choose Credit Polish, Credit Remodel or Clean Slate.
- Within 5 days: send proof of identity. This is required to keep the money-back guarantee.
- First dispute round: challenges go to all three bureaus, plus creditor intervention letters, at your plan's volume. The same 30-day investigation window applies.
- Days 30 to 90: further rounds as bureau responses come back. Staying active and current keeps the guarantee in place.
- Days 91 to 120: if no questionable items were deleted, request a refund audit. Credit Saint has 30 days to review your reports.
Bureau timelines are set by law, not by either company. For a closer look, see our guide on how long credit repair takes.
Questions to ask before you sign
Ask these of either company, and get the answers in writing:
- On what day is the first work fee charged, and what work has been done by then?
- Which plan includes disputes, and how many go out per cycle?
- If I cancel, is any final payment due?
- What exactly triggers the guarantee, and what do I get back: money or service?
- Which bureaus' reports and scores will I see, and how often?
- Is my state served?
Who should choose The Credit Pros

- You want identity monitoring and budgeting tools bundled in.
- You want an attorney co-founder behind the company and a named specialist on your case.
- You want unlimited disputes at $129 a month.
- You prefer extra service months over a refund if you're unhappy.
Who should choose Credit Saint
- You want a cash refund option if nothing questionable comes off in 90 days.
- You want disputes from $79.99 a month and don't need bundled extras.
- You have a handful of items and don't need unlimited volume.

How to decide
Your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act are the same with either company.
- No fee before the work is done (15 U.S.C. 1679b). Ask exactly when the first work fee is charged.
- A written rights disclosure before you sign (1679c).
- A written contract with the total of all payments, the services and the time frame (1679d).
- Three business days to cancel without penalty (1679e).
- No promised deletions or point gains. Both companies say they don't make them.
- Match the plan to your problem. If nothing on your reports is wrong, you need credit building, not disputes. If several items look wrong, compare dispute volume and the six-month total.
You can also dispute errors yourself at no cost. Our guide to disputing negative items covers the letters and deadlines. For more side-by-side comparisons, see /compare/.
Frequently asked questions
Which is cheaper, Credit Saint or The Credit Pros?
For dispute plans, Credit Saint is cheaper at the entry level. Credit Polish totals $578.94 over six months, while The Credit Pros' cheapest dispute plan, Prosperity, totals $903. The Credit Pros' $69 Money Management plan totals $533 but includes no disputes.
Does The Credit Pros give refunds?
Its published guarantee is a service extension, not a refund. If you are not satisfied after 60 days, it extends your service up to the number of months you paid, at no extra cost. You can cancel anytime by phone or in your account.
What does Credit Saint's 90-day guarantee require?
You must stay active and pay on time for 90 days, send proof of identity within 5 days of signing, avoid new negative accounts, and request a refund audit between day 91 and day 120. If no questionable items were deleted, you get a full refund.
Which company offers unlimited disputes?
Both. The Credit Pros' Prosperity ($129 a month) and Success Plus ($149 a month) plans dispute with no limit. Credit Saint's Clean Slate plan ($139.99 a month) includes unlimited challenges to the three bureaus.
Is The Credit Pros run by a lawyer?
The Credit Pros says it was co-founded in 2009 by Jason Kaplan, Esq., its CEO, who also writes many of its guides. That is a real point in its favor if attorney involvement matters to you, though it is not a law firm model like Lexington Law.
Can I build credit with either company?
The Credit Pros reports your monthly membership payments to the credit bureaus on its Money Management and Success Plus plans. Credit Saint focuses on disputes and education and does not report payments. A secured card or credit builder loan is another way to add positive history.
Do I need a company to dispute errors?
No. The Fair Credit Reporting Act lets you dispute inaccurate items with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion yourself for free. The Credit Pros says the same on its pricing page.
