Guarantees compared
Among the companies we compare, these are the two that publish a cash refund tied to the first 90 days, so the details matter.
Sky Blue Credit says: "If you are not satisfied, just tell us why and we will refund your money." The guarantee runs 90 days from enrollment, "is not meant to imply a guarantee of a specific outcome," and the refund "shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us during the first 90 days." It calls the policy condition-free.
Credit Saint's 90-day money-back guarantee says that if you don't see any questionable items deleted from your credit in 90 days, you're entitled to a full refund. The conditions:
- Stay active and current on payments for the first 90 days.
- Send proof of identity within 5 days of signing.
- Don't add new negative accounts during the program.
- Request a refund audit between day 91 and day 120 after your first payment. Credit Saint then has 30 days to review your reports.
Sky Blue's terms are broader and easier to use: dissatisfaction is enough, and you ask within 90 days. Credit Saint's refund depends on the outcome (no questionable deletions) and on meeting the conditions, and the request window opens at day 91. Neither guarantee promises any deletion or score change.
How the process differs
Both companies challenge items that may be inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, and the bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate (15 U.S.C. 1681i). Neither can remove accurate, timely information.
Sky Blue Credit works in four steps: you enroll and get your own free credit reports, Sky Blue does a line-by-line review and shows you the list of dispute candidates, it disputes and automatically sends customized re-disputes for items not corrected, and you track everything in the portal. It runs a 45-day dispute cycle and calls mortgage preparation its specialty.
Credit Saint reviews your reports, then sends challenges to all three bureaus and creditor intervention letters at your tier's volume. Credit Remodel adds inquiry targeting, a personalized credit guide, a one-bureau report and score, and real-time account sync. Clean Slate adds unlimited challenges, three-bureau reports and scores, and a loan readiness program. Support is online chat 9am to 7pm ET on weekdays and phone at 1-877-637-2673.

What the first 90 days look like
Both guarantees run on a 90-day clock, but the refund windows open at different times.
With Sky Blue Credit
- Day 0: you sign up online, choose a plan, add a partner if you want, and pay $0.
- Right after sign-up: you pull your own free credit reports with Sky Blue's help. It says this never harms your scores.
- Day 6: the review and setup fee is charged ($119 on Premium). Sky Blue reviews your reports line by line and shows you the items it plans to dispute.
- First dispute cycle: challenges go to the bureaus on a 45-day cycle, with automatic re-disputes for items not corrected. Each bureau generally has 30 days to investigate, or up to 45 if you send more information during the investigation (15 U.S.C. 1681i).
- Any time through day 90: if you are not satisfied, ask for a refund of what you paid in that period.
With Credit Saint
- Day 0: you sign up online and choose Credit Polish, Credit Remodel or Clean Slate.
- Within 5 days: send proof of identity, which the money-back guarantee requires.
- First dispute round: challenges go to all three bureaus, plus creditor intervention letters, at your plan's volume.
- Days 30 to 90: further rounds as responses come back. Staying active and current keeps the guarantee in place.
- Days 91 to 120: if no questionable items were deleted, request a refund audit. Credit Saint has 30 days to review.
The practical difference: with Sky Blue you can leave and ask for your money back before day 90 for any reason. With Credit Saint you stay through day 90, then the refund depends on the result. Our guide on how long credit repair takes explains why the first 90 days rarely tell the whole story.

- If my partner joins, is their file handled as a separate case?
- Is my state served?

How to decide
Your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act are the same with both.
- No fee before the work is done (15 U.S.C. 1679b). Ask what work the setup or first work fee pays for and when it is charged.
- A written rights disclosure before you sign (1679c).
- A written contract listing the total of all payments, the services and the time frame (1679d).
- Three business days to cancel without penalty (1679e).
- No promised deletions or point gains. Both companies say outcomes can't be promised.
- Read the guarantee before you pay. Know what triggers a refund, when you can ask, and how much comes back.
