Pricing compared
The Credit People keeps pricing simple. Both monthly plans are "pay as you go," and its pricing page shows no setup fee. The flat rate is $599 for six months, which it pitches to people who "have a lot of work needed." Its costs page stresses that credit reports and scores are included rather than charged as extras.
Credit Saint's tiers differ mostly by dispute volume. Credit Polish ($79.99) allows 5 disputes per cycle, Credit Remodel ($109.99) allows 10, and Clean Slate ($139.99) is unlimited. Each adds a one-time first work fee.

Guarantees compared
The Credit People calls its policy the Unbeatable Satisfaction Guarantee. On monthly plans, "you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged for that month of service." On the flat rate, you get "a full six-month satisfaction guarantee." The page doesn't publish further conditions or say how a flat-rate refund is calculated, so ask for that in writing.
Credit Saint publishes a 90-day money-back guarantee: if you don't see any questionable items deleted from your credit in 90 days, you're entitled to a full refund. The conditions:
- Stay active and current on payments for the first 90 days.
- Send proof of identity within 5 days of signing.
- Don't add new negative accounts during the program.
- Request a refund audit between day 91 and day 120 after your first payment. Credit Saint then has 30 days to review.
The difference in plain terms: The Credit People protects you from paying for the month you leave. Credit Saint refunds every payment from the first 90 days if no questionable item comes off, as long as you meet the conditions. Neither is a promise of a result.
How the process differs
Both companies challenge items that may be inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, and the bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate (15 U.S.C. 1681i). Neither can remove accurate, timely information.
The Credit People starts with a free consultation or online account. Every plan disputes without a limit, sends creditor interventions, and rolls unresolved items into escalated disputes and validation requests after each cycle. You see "before and after" scores from all three bureaus, refreshed monthly. Phone is central to its model: the number appears in the header, hero and a floating badge.
Credit Saint reviews your reports, then sends challenges to all three bureaus and creditor intervention letters at your tier's volume. Credit Remodel adds inquiry targeting, a personalized credit guide, a one-bureau report and score, and real-time account sync. Clean Slate adds unlimited challenges, three-bureau reports and scores, and a loan readiness program. Support is online chat 9am to 7pm ET on weekdays and phone at 1-877-637-2673. Credit Saint's sign-up form lets one household family member join without a second first work fee.
Results claims and what the law allows
The Credit People's pricing page shows approval rates after its service (78% for auto loans, 71% for home loans) and a "50-100+ points estimated credit score increase," footnoted as "based on a select case study" where "results will vary." Credit Saint's packages page says credit service companies cannot promise a result or score increase.
Read any company's results figures with the method in mind: who was counted, over what period, and what "removed" means. The Credit Repair Organizations Act bars untrue or misleading claims about what a company can do (15 U.S.C. 1679b). Our guide to credit repair scam red flags covers what to watch for.
What the first 90 days look like
The two models pay out their protections at different times, so it helps to lay the months side by side.
With The Credit People
- Day 0: you create an online account or book a free consultation, and choose Standard, Premium or the $599 flat rate.
- Start of service: you see your starting scores from all three bureaus.
- First dispute cycle: unlimited challenges go to all three bureaus, plus creditor interventions. Each bureau generally has 30 days to investigate, or up to 45 if you send more information during the investigation (15 U.S.C. 1681i).
- After each cycle: unresolved items move into escalated disputes and validation requests. Reports and scores refresh monthly.
- Any month: on a monthly plan, you can stop and are not charged for the month you cancel. On the flat rate, the six-month satisfaction guarantee covers the full term.
With Credit Saint
- Day 0: you sign up online and choose Credit Polish, Credit Remodel or Clean Slate.
- Within 5 days: send proof of identity, which the money-back guarantee requires.
- First dispute round: challenges go to all three bureaus, plus creditor intervention letters, at your plan's volume.
- Days 30 to 90: further rounds as responses come back. Staying active and current keeps the guarantee in place.
- Days 91 to 120: if no questionable items were deleted, request a refund audit. Credit Saint has 30 days to review.
If you expect to finish within a few months, a monthly plan at either company may cost less than a flat rate. If you expect a long list of items and six months of work, The Credit People's $599 flat rate is worth pricing against both monthly options. - What exactly triggers the guarantee, and how is a refund calculated?
- Is my state served?

How to decide
Use your CROA rights as the checklist. They apply to both companies.
- No fee before the work is done (1679b). Ask when each charge, including a flat rate, is taken.
- A written rights disclosure before you sign (1679c).
- A written contract listing the total of all payments, the services and the time frame (1679d).
- Three business days to cancel without penalty (1679e).
- No promised deletions or point gains. Treat any number as an example, not a forecast for you.
- Count your items. A short list may fit a 5-dispute plan. A long list makes unlimited disputes worth comparing on six-month cost.

Frequently asked questions
Which is cheaper, Credit Saint or The Credit People?
Over six months, Credit Saint's Credit Polish is the lowest at $578.94. The Credit People's Standard plan is $594 and its flat rate is $599, both with unlimited disputes. For unlimited disputes, The Credit People costs less than Credit Saint's Clean Slate, which totals $1,034.94.
Does The Credit People charge a setup fee?
Its pricing page shows no setup or first work fee, just $99 or $119 a month or $599 flat for six months. Ask for the full payment schedule in writing before you sign, as CROA requires the contract to list the total of all payments.
How does The Credit People's guarantee work?
On monthly plans, you can cancel anytime and are not charged for the month you cancel. The flat-rate plan carries what it calls a full six-month satisfaction guarantee. Its page does not spell out refund amounts or conditions for the flat rate, so ask before you buy.
What is Credit Saint's 90-day guarantee?
If you don't see any questionable items deleted in 90 days, you're entitled to a full refund. You must stay active and current, send ID within 5 days of signing, avoid new negative accounts and request a refund audit between day 91 and day 120.
What is the difference between The Credit People's Standard and Premium plans?
Its pricing page lists the same feature set for both (all three bureaus, unlimited challenges, monthly reports and scores, creditor interventions, escalated disputes) and calls Premium the most advanced. It does not say what Premium adds, so ask a representative before choosing.
Can either company promise a higher credit score?
No. The Credit Repair Organizations Act bars credit repair companies from making untrue or misleading claims about results. The Credit People's 50 to 100+ point figure is footnoted as an estimate from a select case study with results that vary.
Can I dispute errors without paying anyone?
Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you can dispute inaccurate items with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for free, and the bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate.
